Due to a conflict at the school with another fundraiser that got scheduled on the same original date as the Car Show we were asked to move the Car Show...with that said we have decided it would be best to plan for this huge event during the Spring Season/Track Season....we hope you will keep March/April weekends available as this date will be determined soon and be announced with other information!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We are planning our 3rd Annual "Makin' Tracks" Bike & Car Show Fundraising Event and we want YOU to be a BIGGER part of it this year! We will be having it at the Town Center again with some changes. I'm working on a layout/map of the area of where everything will be. We still will be offering a ton of give-a-ways, 50/50 raffle and lost more. This year we will be offering something special for all clubs, sports to participate within the school - those that raise extra money for rubberizing the track will be getting something special for their earnings. (TBA).
Online forms will be available in a month to register for vehicles and vendor spots. Some spots have been promised to others that are part of clubs for this year so please make sure you check for announcements or business that are full on the forms. Checks with phone numbers will need to be send your registration and vendor booth will NOT FINAL until payment is received. Once we receive the payment then an email of confirmation will be send. We wish we could set it up electronically online but at this moment we are not allowed to through the county.
Finally. IF you know of anyone that would like to help the Rubberized Fundraiser with an in-kind donation or sponsorship. Please have them contact us. A form will be up on the website here within a week or so please be patience as we are holding our first fundraising meeting this Sunday to go over improvements, changes, additions and more.
We look forward to seeing everyone and we are hoping to have bigger and better trophies this year.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our event!
Everyone's support is greatly appreciated. With this new venue for the event there were many pros and cons that have been taken in for consideration for next year. We also thank you for your patience during this new change. Many things to consider when plannings next year's event and where to have it.
We are still taking donation for this cause. If you would like to get a tax right off for your donation. Please let me know and I will be happy to provide you our tax i.d. number. All proceeds go to rubberizing the track so we can conduct a home meet for our hard working athletes and to provide a healthier running surface for our other athletic programs.
When writing a check for you donation, please address it to: HRHS Track & Field. They can be mailed to the school directly at 7321 Raging Ridge Road, Harrisburg, NC 28075. Please just make sure you have your phone number on the check and that it is directed to the Track Team. We thank you for your continuous support in our huge efforts to raise a huge amount of money.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON WHY WE ARE DOING THIS...

It all started, October 3rd, 2009, Saturday morning Hickory Ridge High School's Track & Field Team hosted a huge fundraising event in order to raise funds needed for equipment and to eventually rubberize their track.
An amount of $76,000.00 is needed to rubberize a track.
Asphalt is a very hard surface for athletes to run on. In fact it is in many medical journals that athletes that run on asphalt beginning in middle through high school 42.7% of those athletes end up with knee surgeries, knee problems, hip problems, back pain, ankle pain and always a given when running on hard surfaces shin splints. Oh, do we hate those shin splints.
Right now there are only two schools in cabarrus county that have rubberized tracks to run on. Mt. Pleasant and Kannapolis. Hickory Ridge, Central and JM Robinson will have to travel to these schools to compete. So Hickory Ridge among others will not have a home advantage. We out of respect for these athletes feel they deserve at least one home meet in front of their peers.
The kicker to this? We don't have enough money to get these athletes proper equipment to hold a home meet. That is why I have decided to come up with an annual fundraiser to build awareness of the needs this team and other schools have.
Plain and simple. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Tell your friends, tell your neighborhood, share it with folks at work. Let's show these athletes how much we really care about them and want them to succeed in life!
GO BULLS!
